Meet Rick and Peggy Price in the South Parking Lot at the entrance to the Towpath Trail for this early migration bird walk. Expect good diversity of waterfowl, some early songbird migrants and a few lingering winter species. This program is part of the Park Rx series of programs sponsored by Highmark Blue Shield. Stop by the Tavern House Summer Kitchen to learn how beeswax has been used throughout history to store food and how we use it in the kitchen today. This is a drop-in event; no registration is necessary. -
Flower Walk: Earliest Bloomers – Park Rx
Join volunteer Jane Earle to look for Skunk Cabbage and other cold tolerant plants along the North Boardwalk. Meet at the Nature Center. We will also see how some plants overwinter as a cluster of basal leaves. Participants who pre-register and attend any flower walk in 2026 will be entered into a raffle with the chance to win a wildflower-themed gift basket from the Nature Shop courtesy of the Friends of Wildwood.
