Homeschool Day
Students will first learn about the Susquehannock, the Native Americans that called this region home. After, they will play some traditional games passed down from the woodland era. Pre-registration is required for this event. -
Weekly Wellness Walk – Park Rx
Every Tuesday (weather permitting), enjoy a moderately-paced walk around Wildwood Lake while enjoying the trees and animals at the park. -
Kids Discover: Salamanders (Ages 8-12)
Learn all about secretive salamanders and what makes them unique. Go for a short hike and see if you can catch one- they are slimy and fast. You may get wet and muddy, so dress accordingly. Make your own salamander craft to take home. -
Introduction to Birdwatching – Adventure Awaits
Join Rick and Peggy Price for an introductory course on birdwatching. Learn the basics with an indoor PowerPoint presentation followed by a short walk outdoors on the Delta Boardwalk to practice using binoculars and identifying bird calls. -

Preschool Storytime: Spring at Wildwood!
Join a Dauphin County Library System Librarian and Wildwood Environmental Educator for a fun story session for children ages 2-5. Stories, songs, rhymes, play and an activity will introduce Wildwood critters and the joy of books and language to youngsters. This program is sponsored by Altrusa of South Central PA, providing a book for each participant. Space is limited. Pre-registration required. -
Art Heals: Stained Glass Wind Chimes Workshop – Park Rx
Create your own custom stained glass wind chime! During the class, you will get to pick from multiple colors of drilled stained glass pieces that are tumbled in a rock tumbler long enough to make it all very smooth and soft, like sea glass. -
Seasonal Garden Walks
Join Master Gardener Kevin Kelly for a guided walk through the Nature Center’s Garden Beds. Each walk will highlight what’s in bloom, along with shrubs, foliage, structure and other seasonal features that give the garden interest and support wildlife. -
