Flower Walk: Earliest Bloomers – Park Rx
Join volunteer Jane Earle to look for Skunk Cabbage and other cold tolerant plants along the North Boardwalk. Meet at the Nature Center. We will also see how some plants overwinter as a cluster of basal leaves. Participants who pre-register and attend any flower walk in 2026 will be entered into a raffle with the chance to win a wildflower-themed gift basket from the Nature Shop courtesy of the Friends of Wildwood. This program is part of the Park Rx series of programs sponsored by Highmark Blue Shield. Space is limited. Pre-registration required -
Penn State Extension Master Gardeners’ Veggie Serie: Vegetable Gardening Through the Seasons
In this session, you’ll explore techniques for starting seeds outdoors in winter, extending the season with cold frames, and planning your garden for continuous production. -

Celebrate the arrival of Spring and the lengthening of days with a lantern walk at Lykens Glen Park. We will create our own lanterns and walk together along Rattling Creek as the sun sets. -

Art In The Wild artists are busy finishing up final touches to trailside art installations. Take a self-guided three-mile trail walk to meet the artists and observe the inner workings to creating outdoor, environmental art. -
Art In The Wild 2026: Exhibit Opens
Visit naturally inspired trailside creations along Wildwood Park’s wandering trails and wetlands. Using mostly natural materials, artists have constructed large and small installations. This year’s theme is “Balance.” A map-brochure about the exhibit is available online, at the kiosks or inside the Nature Center. -

Get in the Easter spirit and learn about rabbits and hares that live in Pennsylvania! Join a Naturalist and explore the world of rabbits and hares, examine their differences and similarities, their many different habitats, and discover their superpowers. -
Intro to Woodburning
Join a Naturalist for a morning or afternoon woodburning workshop. Each participant will receive an 8-inch diameter tree cookie of their choice to woodburn using a wide variety of nature stencils. Woodburning supplies and instruction will be provided. Leave with a one-of-a-kind piece of art for your home. Timeslots are limited to 15 participants. Pre-registration required.
