    Bird Walk: Waterfowl and Early Spring Migrants – Park Rx

    Meet Rick and Peggy Price in the South Parking Lot at the entrance to the Towpath Trail for this early migration bird walk. Expect good diversity of waterfowl, some early songbird migrants and a few lingering winter species. This program is part of the Park Rx series of programs sponsored by Highmark Blue Shield.     Flower Walk: Earliest Bloomers – Park Rx

    Join volunteer Jane Earle to look for Skunk Cabbage and other cold tolerant plants along the North Boardwalk. Meet at the Nature Center. We will also see how some plants overwinter as a cluster of basal leaves. Participants who pre-register and attend any flower walk in 2026 will be entered into a raffle with the chance to win a wildflower-themed gift basket from the Nature Shop courtesy of the Friends of Wildwood.     Celebrate the arrival of Spring and the lengthening of days with a lantern walk at Lykens Glen Park. We will create our own lanterns and walk together along Rattling Creek as the sun sets.
