Join local dyer and Art in the Wild participant Carol Reed and explore the world of natural dyes. Participants will create a large cotton gauze scarf dyed brown with black walnut hulls. While the scarf is dyeing each participant will use indigo plants grown by the instructor to dye a silk bandana a beautiful shade of aqua or ice blue. Pre-treatments and care of your naturally dyed textile will be discussed. Workshop limited to 18 participants. Pre-registration required.
