Penn State Extension Master Gardeners’ Veggie Series

Join Dauphin County Master Gardeners for a beginner course on starting your veggies from seed. Topics will include getting the right supplies, sowing seed, proper use of light and humidity, growing and potting up new seedlings, and hardening off and transplanting the plants into the garden. Growing from seed saves money and allows you to choose the best and tastiest varieties.

Creating Good Garden Soil 6:30-7:00 pm

Join Dauphin County Master Gardener Mark Linstedt for a beginner course on building healthy soil. Like having a good foundation for your home, healthy soil is critical for growing healthy, productive, and tasty fruits and vegetables. Get the “dirt” on building and maintaining this precious resource.

 A Productive Garden from Spring to Fall 7:00-7:30 pm

Join Dauphin County Master Gardener Melissa Barrick, as she brings her farming expertise, to discuss how to create a garden to enjoy, and harvest from, all season long. This will follow a step-by-step process, from planning, soil prep, spacing, planting, fertilizing, disease prevention, and clean-up. This is a must-presentation for all gardeners to expand their skills, increase yields and have fun.
