Explore Wildwood Park’s treasured wetlands for our 26th Annual Wetlands Festival! Join us for a day of free, fun, and educational activities with special musical guests and food trucks. Enjoy wildlife exhibits, walks, and a wide variety of local and regional environmental organizations. Interact with live animals and make crafts to take home! There is something for everyone! This festival is rain or shine!

Join Appalachian Audubon & Wildwood Park Volunteer, Kevin Shannon, to search for unique birds along the park’s boardwalks.

10:00 am         Bird Walk with Glenn Mitzel

Join Appalachian Audubon & Wildwood Park Volunteer, Glenn Mitzel, to search for unique birds along the park’s boardwalks.

11:00 am        Wildflower Walk with Jane Earle

Join Wildwood Park Volunteer, Jane Earle, for a short walk to learn all about what’s blooming in the park. 

1:00 pm        Tree Walk with Eric O’Neal

Join Eric O’Neal, Arborist from Good’s Tree and Lawn Care, for a short walk to learn about the trees growing at Wildwood and tips for tree identification.

Parking:

 

Additional parking is available nearby at HACC. Follow the signs to the designated parking area. Please walk the Capital Area Greenbelt trail to the festival (0.7 mile walk).

Shuttle: This year a shuttle will be offered throughout the day between the HACC lot #4 and the Nature Center. Please follow signs for pick-up times.

Pick up at HACC: every 30 min. starting at 10:15 am, last shuttle 3:45 pm
Pick up at Nature Center: every 30 min. starting at 10:30 am, last shuttle 4:00 pm
