Dauphin County Bureau of Registration & Elections Announces Important November 3 General Election Information
Dauphin County elections staff are sending out 20,589 requested mail-in and absentee ballots for the November 3, 2026 General Election. Voters who requested a ballot can expect to receive it in the mail in the coming days.
To give voters options and convenience to return their voted ballots, secure drop boxes will be available throughout Dauphin County. There are seven drop boxes located throughout the County, including one at the Dauphin County Administration Building, one outside the Bureau of Registration & Elections office and one inside the Northern Dauphin Human Services Center in Elizabethville. Additionally, there are boxes outside the offices of Magisterial District Judges Urrutia, Pelino, Klein and Grella. Boxes will be open as soon as ballots are available and will close at 8 p.m. on Election Day. For a full listing of drop box locations and addresses, please visit the Registration and Elections page at dauphincounty.gov.
Voters who plan to drop off their ballots are reminded that, according to Pennsylvania election law, they may only return their own ballot. The only exception is for a voter with a disability who has designated someone in writing using the proper forms.
Additionally, the Bureau reminds voters of the following important deadlines:
The last day to register to vote is October 19.
The last day to request a mail-in or absentee ballot is October 27.
The deadline for returning a mail-in or civilian absentee ballot is 8 p.m. on November 3.
By mail: The ballot must be received by the County Board of Elections by 8 p.m. on November 3.
In person: The ballot must be returned to the County Board of Elections office or other designated location by 8 p.m. on November 3.
