Dauphin County Sheriff Nick Chimienti Jr. and the Dauphin County Chiefs of Police are presenting the return of the Thin Blue Line Football Game, a tradition honoring the courage, sacrifice and legacy of fallen law enforcement officers. The game will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, at Rocco Ortenzio Field at Bishop McDevitt High School, with the Bishop McDevitt Crusaders facing the Cumberland Valley Eagles. Before kickoff, a free concert featuring Nashville country artist Jimmy Charles will take place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. 

The Thin Blue Line Game is returning after several years away and will once again provide an opportunity for the community and law enforcement family to come together in remembrance of officers and first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. The event also honors and supports the surviving families of fallen officers and first responders and serves as a reminder that their loved ones are never forgotten. 

“The Thin Blue Line Game is much more than a football rivalry on the field,” Sheriff Chimienti said. “It is an opportunity for our community and the law enforcement family to stand together in remembrance of the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Most importantly, it is a chance to honor and support the surviving families of our fallen officers and first responders, reminding them that their loved ones are never forgotten.” 

Community members are encouraged to attend the event, enjoy the free pregame concert, wear blue and join law enforcement and first responder families in honoring those who have given their lives in service to others. The Sheriff's Office and Dauphin County Chiefs of Police invite the community to help make the return of the Thin Blue Line Game a meaningful night of remembrance, appreciation and support.
