Dauphin County to Join Nationwide Effort in Largest Naloxone Distribution Day of the Year
Dauphin County, PA – September 24, 2026 – On Thursday, September
24, 2026, communities across the country will participate in Save A Life Day,
the largest coordinated naloxone distribution event of the year. Dauphin County
and the Hope Collaborative are proud to once again join this nationwide effort
aimed at increasing awareness, education, and access to life-saving overdose
reversal medication.
Throughout the day, community partners and volunteers will be stationed at locations across Dauphin County, providing free naloxone, educational materials, and information on overdose prevention and response. Teams will engage residents through community outreach efforts, helping individuals recognize the signs of an overdose and learn how to administer naloxone in an emergency.
Save A Life Day is an opportunity to reduce stigma, increase community awareness, and equip individuals with the tools needed to respond when every second counts. By expanding access to naloxone and overdose education, Dauphin County continues its commitment to addressing the opioid crisis through prevention, intervention, and community collaboration.
Community members are encouraged to visit a participating location to receive free naloxone and learn more about available resources and supports.
