Message to Voters: VPC Mailings are Not Affiliated with Dauphin County Elections Office

The Dauphin County Bureau of Registration and Elections is alerting residents of a mailing being distributed by Voter Participation Center (VPC) that has no connection to the county’s official office.
“Voter Participation Center (VPC) is not affiliated with Dauphin County, or the Pennsylvania Department of State, and any mailings from VPC do not require voter response,” said Jerry Feaser, Dauphin County Bureau of Registration and Elections Director. “We have an obligation to minimize voter confusion, so please be aware the origin of these mailings is not the Elections Office.”
VPC’s efforts to increase voter enrollment have caused concern among those already registered to vote. VPC’s database of addresses and information are not necessarily accurate.
Dauphin County Election’s Office has no part in the development of VPC’s mailing lists.
Feaser noted that those who receive a mailing from VPC can unsubscribe from future mailings by following the instructions in the letter.
The Dauphin County Bureau of Registrations and Elections is the agency best equipped to offer accurate voter registration information, and any resident who has questions about how to register to vote or to change any of their current voter registration information should contact the Elections Office at 717-780-6360.
Residents also can go online (www.vote.pa.gov) to apply to register to vote or check on their registration status, or to apply for or check on the status of their mail-in or absentee ballot.
