Nature-based Wellness - Colonial Style

Explore Pennsylvania’s role in nature-based wellness in the 1700’s. Learn how “granny witches” (Healers) utilized knowledge of native trees, shrubs, wildflowers, and other natural materials in their healing remedies. This session will touch on knowledge collected from Indigenous nations and the early settlers of the Appalachian Mountain region. During this session you will be invited to tap into your “granny witch” as we explore the colonial healing ingredients still found in Fort Hunter Park.
