Night Sky Exploration
Detweiler Park $5.00 per person
Join the Astronomical Society of Harrisburg for an evening of stargazing at Detweiler Park. The evening will begin with a short 0.3-mile walk along variable terrain to the open fields. Weather permitting, local astronomers will be on hand to show you night sky objects using their telescopes. Bring your binoculars to help find Saturn, Pleiades, the Andromeda Galaxy, and a handful of other star clusters.
Dress for the weather. Bring a red light and walking sticks if available. Meet at the trailhead kiosk. Pre-registration required. Space is limited.
