Wildwood Park                                                            $5 per child, chaperones are free

Dragonflies are amazing fliers, but did you know they spend most of their lives underwater? Join a Naturalist to explore the dragonflies of Wildwood Park. During this program we will examine a dragonfly life cycle, discover amazing adaptations and take a brief look at how dragonflies influenced the invention of the helicopter! Then, we will explore the Towpath Trail for close-up views of these incredible insects and create a dragonfly craft to take home. The program will occur outside at the North Pavilion and along the Towpath Trail. The North Pavilion is the small pavilion located at the North Lot closest to Linglestown Road/Route 39. Registrants must be accompanied by a chaperone for the duration of the program; a maximum of one chaperone per child. Space is limited. Pre-registration required.
