Spend time outdoors this fall at beautiful Detweiler Park enjoying The Snow Thief by Alice Hemming, illustrated by Nicola Slater.

Squirrel wakes up one day to discover everything outside is white and cold—and the grass is gone! Confused and worried, Squirrel calls for Bird. Bird encourages Squirrel to bundle up and join in exploring this new cold, white world. The story is perfect for young readers ages 3-8. Follow the main trail across the bridge and up the hill at Detweiler Park. Funding for this project was made possible through the Penn State Health Community Relations Grant program and the Dauphin County Woodland Owners Association.
